I enjoyed what you had to say. Another, in my opinion, great Vietnam era song was "Monster" written by Steppenwolf. It is ripe with the injustices that we have committed in the name of freedom. The war they sang about was Vietnam, but I remember thinking that was about as true for the Gulf War as well. We are nowhere near a perfect nation, but I hope we never forget the many sacrifices that our forefathers gave for us, including far too many lives, so that we may remain to be free!

Excellent, David. By way of both the Greeks (patriōtēs) and the Romans (patria), the word - depending on how one chooses to see it - means homeland, fatherland, country, clan, humanity, etc., ad infinitum.

After the 911 attack, Pres. Bush used the term 'homeland' and for some reason (I suppose a sensitivity or illogical 'guilt' I have for my German heritage and the rise of the term 'fatherland') that word really grated on me. It still does. My preference would be the Greek word Philia, from which (I assume) we get the word affiliation and also the name of one of our first major cities, Philadelphia.

In any case, we, individually and collectively, choose those with whom we decide to identify, both in terms of family and friends. Some of us don't choose very well.

and if they bother to read the rules about displaying the flag, many are actually desecrating it by coloring it with various colors other than red, white, and blue. Many display a flag that has been redesigned to capture their issue with enough of the original flag remaining to make it recognizable.

David, while I agree with everything you said or at least your sentiments. However I have to add one item which will negate several of your examples. One of the founding principles is: Freedom based in LAW. As far as immigration is concerned, yes we are a nation of LEAGLE immigrants. The Biden administration has totally ignored our immigration laws and as I understand Asylum international law you must ask for asylum in the FIRST country you are not persecuted in. Now this is a wild guess but about 95% of those seeking asylum do not legally qualify however we will never know as I believe less than 1 percent show up on the court date to see if they do in fact qualify. therefor, they too are illegal immigrants. (I'm an unusual case as my grandparents on my mother's side were born and raised in Sicily, while on my father's side we are part Cherokee

You are correct, Trump should have conceded the election and there never should have been a Jan 6 riot. However, there were enough irregularities in the election to justify looking into it. 1st. the Mail in ballet. While on active duty I looked into an absentee ballet. The rules back then required me first to request a ballet in writing. (none of this mass mailing to all registered voters which did occur in some states in 2016.) Second I had to bring the unused ballet into a post office where they checked two things, one my identity, and second the ballet was not filled in. Then I would be brought into a closed room where I could fill out the ballet in private, seal the ballet in an envelope, and bring it back to the postmaster, who then stamped the envelope signed the across the stamp, put it into the official outer envelope, again signing it, then placed it in the mail. This procedure was not followed in 2020. I believe in one state Trump was leading by a very large margin and if the absentee ballets followed the same distribution, he would have carried that state. However, against the normal laws of statistics, the lead was cancelled and Biden won the vote. Now statistics said the probability of that happening was very very slight but it did. The way it was set up, there was no way of knowing if those ballets were filled by the registered voter it was sent to as no ID checks were made, and there was no way of knowing if the registered voter was in fact the one who filled it in. In 2020 there was no way of knowing if a mail in ballet was correct or not. The only thing you could prove was that the blank ballet was in fact mail out to a registered voter.

In GA voters were registered using incorrect addresses which after the election and a review of the rolls indicated that, that person was not allowed to vote, but a mail in ballet was sent to that incorrect address and after there was no way to know if the person intended did in fact vote or if someone else or not one at all used it as there was no way of checking (and correctly so) who voted. In the Atlanta area Dekalb county had more people registered to vote than the 2020 censes said they had population of voting age.

Now do these incidents (you can check on the validity of these incidents if you wish) mean the election was rigged or stollen? NO. You cannot prove that anyone did anything wrong. Just that voter registration and absentee voting was slack. Biden was our elected president. It does show that voter registration rolls need to be check for accuracy, and that more security needs to be re installed on absentee voting.

ON illegal immigration, first we need to enforce the current laws. And as far as same sex marriages, who cares. Same as religion. We form governments, and have Laws to allow all of us to live harmously together, without violence! I do have a problem with men who want to be ID'd as a woman competing in women sports. There are genic differences between a male body vs a female body. A male no matter how hard he tries and identifies as a woman, could be able to do a female gymnast's split. Nor would a female, identifying as a male would be able to do the rings as well as the male gymnast. I also believe that Parents should have the right to veto a drag queen reading to their 6 year old's. I think I've said enough, I've got some work I need to get back to. Keep up the writing.

Dr. Dave, the China virus is of concern. The CCP has a problem of overpopulation of its older generation. I don’t think they cared if it wiped out some of the older generation over there.

Trump was economically putting pressure on China. They were in somewhat of a campaign to make sure Trump was not re elected. Not sure this is a closed case of being an “accident”. Just because their country was affected does not elevate responsibility of the covid global pandemic.

I never stated that Covid originated outside China. I said some people want to believe its release was an intentional act by China to attack the United States. According to the House Oversight Committee which you linked: "Dr. Robert Redfield, former director of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), testified how science indicates COVID-19 infections were likely the result of an accidental lab leak in Wuhan."

This goes back to my post last week arguing that some Americans think we alone are impacted by world events. The truth is that we were not alone in our suffering from Covid. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/COVID-19_pandemic_deaths

Never questioned the where, is was the why ? And When. I think in the testimony no one really knows if was intentional or not ?

The cover up is very evident. They tried to hide it, which leads me to think they knew exactly when and where it was released.

Even if no proof of either they should re pay repercussions to many countries. They suffered to I understand but if we did something like this we would be issuing checks left and right right now.
